Dr Morne du PlessisI came to New Zealand in 1997 and worked in Whakatane Hospital for 4 years. Originally a House Surgeon and then as a Surgical and Orthopaedic MOSS for just over 3 years. I came to Tauranga in 2000 and worked as a Surgical Registrar in Tauranga Hospital for 6 months. I decided to go into general practice in 2001. I have also gained a postgraduate diploma in sports medicine and have been the BOP Steamers Team doctor for last 6 seasons. My other main interest is skin cancer management and I am currently credentially up to Advanced level under the WBOP PHO surgical scheme. I can therefore offer treatment for any cancer and also for benign skin lesions such as sebaceous cysts, lipoma's etc. This may range from surgical excision with or without skin grafting or skin flaps, as well as shave biopsy excisions, and electrofrequency surgery. |
